The show opened up with Madonna recalling a story of her and Michael Jackson as they grew up. It was a long, but really touching story.
The biggest drama scene was by the one and only Kanye West. As Taylor Swift won Best Female Video, he stormed on stage, grabbed Taylor's mic as she was giving an amazing first-time speech, and stated: "I'm sorry, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time."
Taylor Swift and Beyoncé were both in shocked, as was everyone in the audience. Taylor just stood in silence and was escorted off stage. What a nub huh? Later Kanye West was asked to leave the 
VMA's... "Prior to Sunday night's show, West was captured by photographers on the red carpet swigging from a bottle of Hennessey." [MTV.com]
When the Video of the Year was announced as Beyoncé [the winner], she called upon Taylor to finish off her speech, calling it "her moment." For more info, go to MTV.com Taylor Swift and her mother were later seen crying back stage-
MTV as a form of apology created a commercial giving her a special moment and advertising her music. Kanye, you're such a whining, sad fuck. Just kill yourself a
nd accept your defeat. Gg nigger. What else happened? Nothing much, the nominations were short. There were only about 6 or 7 of them... bleh MTV you suck. Other than the opening tribute to Michael Jackson was unbelievable. Janet Jackson popped out of a spaceship like prop and started dancing and singing "Scream" in which she sang with her brother. She danced along as the video played behind her. It was stunning. The whole tribute backtracked the best MJ videos and the dancers were really great. Lady GaGa's performance... well in my opinion, was beautiful. Well, I love her weirdness. Her face was splattered in blood at the end of the performance and she danced like crazy!! ...but then again it was a beautiful. ;] All this and more can be recapped at MTV.com
